Our Native Speaker

James Ritchie is our English native speaker teacher from Scotland and joined us in 2015.

The fourth year classes have European Studies as an additional subject with Mrs. Titze, Mrs. Hasenhütl und of course our native speaker James. This is a team teaching unit where we learn all about European topics.

European Studies includes: European countries, capital cities, European food, customs, languages, geography, EU countries and non-EU countries. The history of the EU, flag, motto, ideals and the Euro Zone are all important things we learn in this subject. European Studies is not graded but pupil’s attendance, motivation and creativity are all noted.

Two real teachers and a native speaker are the main ingredients for successful, serious and humorous lessons.

Mrs. Hasenhütl and James also coach KET Cambridge English for kids on Thursday afternoons. The pupils are working voluntarily towards their KET exam in April 2018.
