Marine litter is one of the fastest growing threats to the health of the world\u2019s oceans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Plastic which we use for a minute or two, joins the water wave and needs decades to break down (water bottle up to 500 years), much of it joins the Great Pacific Garbage Patch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
By 2050 there will be more plastic in the ocean than fish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Plastic, which we throw away everyday, enters the food chain and possibly our bodies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
More plastic was manufactured in the last 10 years than all of the last century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201eZero waste\u201c was our topic in 4a and b. What can we do about it? After watching some short videos about the huge plastic trash we produce everyday and some information the pupils had to look in the internet for more information and think about what they can do to avoid plastic. They found out a lot of ways to zero waste. Have a look at the pictures to find out how to produce less trash.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
